So for my first task on my degree journey I was asked how would I represent Pirate Radio as a photo. Well shit how do I do that one. So first thing was first- what on earth was pirate radio and no I’m not on about that Philip Seymour Hoffman movie although that was an epic film. Pirate radio was sort of illegal broadcast that was huge in the 1960’s. Pirate often referred to the fact that these stations would broadcast from boats in international waters to the mainland especially Britain.

So how do I represent this is as a photo. Bugger I was stumped and then I remembered that about a year ago mum and I had gone on a walk up Winter Hill in Lancashire and I just so happened to take a photo of a signal pole emerging from the clouds. Problem solved.
